We love this shop. Walked out with a bag full and still could have filled 6 more. Great snacks, textiles, soap and ceramics. Oh and jam and marmalade. Please stop. The young ladies are a joy to chat with. Yearly stop for scones and jam.

Fabulous Pieces. I absolutely love the bowls. Beautiful colours. I visited your gorgeous shop last weekend and bought a few bits and was not disappointed. The porridge bread was really lovely as indeed were the biscuits! You have a really lovely business going on there so well done and also well done to Pat Carroll.

I visited Shillelagh Outdoors shop & Village October 2023 as a Private Chef for a retreat. Sandra and Family are so welcoming, helpful and hospitable. From helping me coordinate with a local baker for fresh pastries for my clients daily to supplying us with local items for our retreat. They supplied us with lovely local eggs, butter, spices, cheeses, jam, cakes and pastries for our week-long stay. The shop itself is wonderful to visit and shop local Irish crafted gifts for friends and family. I highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in town!I look forward to visiting Shillelagh Outdoors on our next visit to Ireland in June 2024

Shillelagh Outdoors embodies everything that represents community for us. They offer opportunities to local producers to sells their goods such as delicious fresh scones, cheese, chutneys, honey, jams etc. as well as local crafts. In restoring what was an old run down premises to a very welcoming and fitting environment, they are bringing people back into village of Shillelagh, and their welcoming and friendly service is encouraging them to return again and again.

January 2024.
I simply can’t say enough good things about Shillelagh Outdoors and its owners.
In October 2023 I brought a group of women from the United States for a 5-day retreat at Minmore Mews, Shillelah. When I contacted Sandra in advance of our trip, she helped me so much with gift ideas for the retreat guests – yummy chocolates, delicious-smelling soaps and tote bags displaying the town clock – a great reminder of our time in this beautiful little town that was so welcoming to us.
Our retreat itinerary was a bit hectic, but Sandra made everything so easy. She and her family welcomed me and my team upon our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed before our retreat guests’ arrival. Then she worked with our schedule to ensure we could include a few visits to Shillelagh Outdoors for our retreat guests’ shopping pleasure. Everyone was so excited by their purchases of locally made jewelry, soaps, candles, bags, blankets, art and more.
Sandra also worked with our retreat caterer to make sure she had spices, cheeses and freshly-made baked goods, even going out of her way to deliver them to us throughout our stay. Every contact with Sandra and her team was pleasant, professional and timely, even when we were working on a 5-hour time difference.
Sandra and her team were such an integral part of the success of our retreat. They made us feel so very welcome to their amazing community. I look forward to working with Shillelagh Outdoors again for our next retreat to Shillelagh in April 2024, and for many retreats to come.. – Carol Cottrell, Charleston, South Carolina, Nurturing Our Connections Retreats

I purchased a range of beautiful locally handmade candles as gifts & a few for myself too!!
There was also a great range of freshly baked goods. My family & I loved the scones & the lemon drizzle is worth a mention.
Looking forward to a repeat visit and checking out more products for sale.
Also with their friendly & helpful staff, learning more about the local history (there’s lots of info instore).
